Jean-Pierre Hubaux from EPFL captivated the audience with his presentation on federated AI and privacy-preserving technologies. He demonstrated how AI can analyze sensitive data without sharing it, using advanced methods like secure multiparty computation and homomorphic encryption. He also discussed use cases in personalized healthcare and secure collaborative data analysis.

Next, Léonard Badet, CTO of BOBST, discussed the company’s strategic initiatives in digital transformation. He highlighted how BOBST integrates innovative solutions to enhance connectivity, sustainability, and agility in manufacturing.
Andrej Sobkowski, IoT Product Development Director at BOBST, introduced the BOBST Connect platform, a next-generation IoT solution offering advanced real-time data management and enhanced security. Damian Vizar, Data Security Expert at CSEM, focused on securing firmware and data in the IoT world. He illustrated the security challenges faced by connected devices and provided concrete solutions to ensure data integrity and confidentiality and emphasized the need for continuous security updates and monitoring to safeguard against emerging threats.
Antoine Jeanrichard, Co-founder of Digiinov, shared his experience in digitizing Swiss factories and the challenges of implementing secure digital solutions. He presented real-world examples of innovation and emphasized the importance of data integration and cybersecurity in transforming manufacturing processes. He also highlighted the importance of data ownership, encrypted communication, and strong authentication mechanisms.
And finally,
Mario Fürst from Siemens delivered the last presentation by discussing digital applications for the shop floor. He demonstrated how IT and OT integration can transform production lines, improving quality, safety, and productivity through AI and automation-based solutions.
