The team is developing a sprayable and durable superhydrophobic coating.
There are multiple applications for super hydrophobic surfaces. One possible application is for example in the food sector, where the goal is to avoid as much as possible foodwaste. There are also other areas, like in medicine or watch industry.
Within the Microbooster project, we introduced the idea of superhydrophobic surfaces, because on the one hand we provide the competences of physics and on the other hand also those of chemistry.
